How it works

Eight knots, tied in order

Matrimony has a sequence for a reason. Here is the whole journey — from the first private draft of your profile to two families meeting — and exactly where your privacy stands at every step.

  1. Create your profile, privately

Tell us who you are and who you seek — faith, family, values, work, the life you want. You decide, field by field, what the world sees. Your full name, date of birth, phone number and family contacts go straight into your vault; they are never part of the public profile.

Free · takes about 15 minutes · nothing is published yet

  2. Publish with real intent

Your profile goes to a human advisor first. Once they approve it, a membership of ₹587 for 365 days publishes it — which is why there are no throwaway profiles here. You also name 3 people who know you, at least 1 from the family and 1 from outside it, and we invite each of them to vouch. Vouching is free, and they are never under any obligation to reply.

    ₹587 / 365 days, GST included · 3 references invited · free for them

  3. We review your account

Before anything goes live, a person on our team reads your profile: that it reads true, that it follows our rules, and that the details hang together. Nothing is published until a Platform Advisor has approved it.

No bots · no bought badges · usually within a few days

  4. Your profile goes live

Once approved, your profile appears in browse and in other members' matches — exactly as much of it as you chose to show. Photos honor your per-photo policy: public, connections-only, or on request. A veiled photo is a designed state here, not a gap.

You can edit, veil or pause your profile at any time

  5. Express interest — or receive it

When a profile feels right, express interest. The other side sees it and decides in their own time. Declines are quiet — no alerts, no shame, no pressure. Interests are free and always will be, because saying "hello" should never be a transaction.

Free · unlimited · declines stay private

  6. Both say yes — the thread ties

When interest is mutual, that is a match: two families that each chose the other. A private conversation opens right here on Matchmonster, so you can talk properly before any phone numbers change hands.

Chat is free after a mutual match

  7. Contact details, on your terms

Phone numbers are never listed and never searchable. They leave the vault in only two ways, both with the owner’s consent: the contact card, to a mutual match, when the owner shares it on match; or a request for one category — contact details, birth details or family background — that the owner grants. Sharing can be stopped at any time and the next opening is refused; what was already seen cannot be recalled.

  8. Meet the families

From here it moves the way it always has — calls between parents, a first meeting over tea, the questions that matter asked face to face. Take your time. If you would like help along the way, a verified matchmaker can broker introductions and sit alongside your family.

Advisors and matchmakers are a message away

Two-way matching

A match is only as strong as its weaker side

We always score both directions: how they fit what you seek, and how you fit what they seek. The overall number leans toward the weaker of the two — so a 90/40 pairing reads as the strained match it really is, not a flattering 65.

One-sided enthusiasm is where matrimony wastes the most time and the most heartache. We would rather show you fewer, truer numbers.

  • Four dimensions, weighted like real life

Core values weigh the most, then lifestyle, emotional life and growth — because marriages rarely fail over cuisine preferences.

  • Reasons in plain words

Every report explains itself: what genuinely aligns, and the two or three conversations worth having early.

  • Dealbreakers are respected absolutely

Anything either side marks non-negotiable gates the match entirely. No algorithm argues with your non-negotiables.

  • Computed only from what you chose to share

The engine reads public profile fields alone. Nothing in your vault is ever used for scoring.

What it costs

The search is free. A few reveals are not.

We will never charge you to say hello, and we will never sell your attention. Publishing your profile carries the ₹587 posting fee for 365 days of membership; beyond that, credits meter only the moments that spend real trust or real visibility.

Common questions

Questions about the sequence

How does Matchmonster work, step by step?
You create your profile privately, a person here reviews and approves it, you pay the membership, and it then becomes visible to other approved members. You express interest in a profile; if that interest is returned the match is mutual, which opens a private conversation between you and, subject to your settings, releases contact details.
What does the review actually check?
Someone here reads the profile before it is published and checks what it claims, contacting you where something needs clarifying. Verification marks shown on a profile are stamped by that reviewer — they are not self-declared by the member, and each mark means only the thing it names.
Do I have to share my phone number to sign up?
You give a phone number so we can reach you if we need to, but it is collected only. Matchmonster sends no SMS and no one-time passcodes, and your number is never shown on your profile.
Can I stop specific people from finding me?
Yes. Visibility rules let you decide who can discover your profile, you can browse without leaving a trace on the profiles you view, and you can block another member outright, which hides you from them in both directions.
